T+3

No baby yet. :(
Just keep praying that Sarah will have the baby soon and that she will go into labor on her own before they are scheduled to induce her Monday.
A cartoon to amuse us while we wait.

Aunt Beka and Matthew

Video of Bek and Matthew when she was undressing him and getting him ready for bed the night she and Laura babysat him a few weeks ago. Do you think she needs a little more practice?

Summer Family Fun

These are the last of the pictures from our summer that I have left to put up. Some are from the Fourth of July and some are from when we went to Carriage Hill a few weeks ago. Carriage Hill is a park that is near our house. There are a couple of silly videos that the girls did on the Fourth and also at the park. Laura took most of the pictures except for the ones she is in of course.

Family Visit

Two of my sisters came out to visit us the weekend of Sarah's shower. Joni and all of the cousins went to King's Island one day and we all went to the outlet mall the day they left. Here are some pics of our adventures.

T + 1

We have been counting down until Sarah's baby gets here. Well, she isn't here yet so I guess we start counting up. Thus the T +1 moniker. I talked to Sarah today after her dr. appt. They have decided to wait until NEXT Monday before they will induce her. Hopefully she will go before then. I was hoping she would have had her by now. Anyway, we will keep waiting patiently(?) until baby Link decides to present herself. I think we have another princess in the making.

Laura is adjusting to life in Jacksonville. She seems to be doing really well. They took the students out on a cruise last night. She starts classes tomorrow. Pray for her as Hurricane Fay seems to be heading her way. Like the rhyme? I think they will just get mostly rain and high winds though. The college doesn't seem concerned right now. I guess they are used to it.

Hurricanes and babies seem to do pretty much as they please. So I guess we will just sit back, relax and wait and see what happens.

Sarah's Baby Shower

Sarah's Baby Shower July 19, 2008

Mary and Cathy H. had a baby shower for Sarah at the church. There was a good turn out and she received some really nice and useful gifts. Great Aunts Terri and Joni and cousin Haley were there from NY.

Mary made this diaper wreath. It was really nice and a lot of people liked it and wanted to make one for other people they know.

Still No Baby

Well it is the 15th of August and Baby Link has still not made an appearance. It is three days until her actual due date, but we keep hoping we won't have to wait that long or longer. We are all anxious for her to get here.

Laura left with Keith last night to head South to college in Jacksonville, FL. She decided she wanted a change and felt the Lord leading her to Trinity. She has switched her major from Phys Ed/Health to Elementary Ed. She feels like she can do more with that type of degree. Keith and Laura stopped overnight in VA and stayed at Grandma's house. They got to Jacksonsville at about 7:15 pm.

Grandma is doing ok except she now has a blood clot in her leg. They wanted to put her in the hospital again, but she begged the dr. to let her go home and have the lady who stays with her help her take care of her leg there. We just found out that when she had her stroke last time that apparently she had a heart attack first.

Our pet hamster died last week. She was two years old which is a good long life for a hamster. We will miss the little critter, but we are definitely done with hamsters. Two is enough for any family. As they say, "Been there, done that."

Life advances on. With the Lord's help, we take it all in stride.

Bek's Graduation Party Set Up

We had Bek's graduation party the night before her graduation. Here are some pictures of the set up inside and outside. We were so busy, we didn't get pictures of the people who were here. We had about 85 people including our immediate family. Everything went well and we had plenty of leftovers too.

Bek made a scrapbook and she did a great job!

Reese's and Hershey graduation caps.

Aren't these neat? They have a chamber for ice on the bottom.
